ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Team Lead, you will: • Prepare accurate tax returns • Build, lead, and support a team of preparers • Provide guidance, structure, and oversight • Maintain compliance across your team. This role requires both production and leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit and build your own team • Assist with training and onboarding • Provide oversight and ongoing support • Help maintain compliance and due diligence standards • Assist with return review based on experience. You are responsible for your performance and the direction of your team.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

COMPENSATION

• Higher split than standard preparers • Earnings from personal tax preparation • Overrides and bonuses based on team production. Your income grows through both your work and your team’s performance.

LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS

To qualify and remain in this role, you must: • Communicate clearly and consistently • Demonstrate leadership and accountability • Maintain high compliance standards • Show proven consistency as a preparer. Leadership is earned through production, commitment, and the ability to guide others.

REQUIREMENTS AND COMPLIANCE

• Valid PTIN is required • All Team Leads operate as independent contractors • Must follow IRS guidelines and due diligence procedures • No false information or fraudulent filings allowed. Compliance is non negotiable.
